baby girl is perfect. we were very pleased to see her again last week. we confirmed that she is indeed a girl. she also has big feet like her brother and long legs! it's hard to tell from her little picture but i'm pretty sure she looks a lot like milo. i was happy to find out that i gained 3lbs last month (much better than the previous months 8lbs). i've also started to feel her kick. we discovered that the placenta was blocking me from feeling her on the outside but now that she's growing bigger than it i'm feeling her more and more. that's refreshing!

we are all doing much better here. milo has made a full recovery...... of course! it was his most dramatic illness to date. poor little man! but i'm happy to say that he's been without motrin for a few days and feeling good, he's also eating really well which makes everything better.

can you even imagine??? the whole time i was making these little outfits i just kept thinking about the awesome craziness of having triplets!!!! one is so incredibly wonderful and such a life shake up. BUT 3!!! thank you God that Penelope is not sharing this cozy little womb with anybody else....... but also thank you for such miraculous wonders like triplets!!!

the dirty yucky germs!!!!!!!!

there sure are a lot of germs in the world....... and i'm not talkin about the john edwards variety!!!! i'm talking about the dirty yucky germs that we seem to pick up everywhere that make us sick (although john edwards makes me sick....... sorry just read the stack of people magazines that moppa gave me). anyways........ i ended up taking milo into the dr this afternoon. he seemed to be getting worse. he stopped moving his mouth when he talks and drooling a lot. :( i thought for sure it was strep throat. but nooooooooooo i got to learn about a whole new yucky thing. he has caught a virus the coxsackie virus to be exact! it caused a lovely little thing called herpangina..... which is a fancy way of saying really painful canker sore type blisters all around the back of this throat and one possibly two on his tongue. something that his doctor says is very common but one of the worst possible viruses as far as suffering goes for little people. since swallowing hurts so bad he's drooling a ton and he refuses to drink his medicine. he doesn't even want popsicles or milkshakes now. so what little tools i have to offer a tiny bit of relief are seemingly useless. there's not much we can do but just go through it. lots of hugs and cuddling. a really quiet little man who drifts to sleep and then wakes up crying.

as for me...... i'm better from one day of antibiotics and lorin starts his today. i don't really know what else to say except THIS SUCKS! i hate seeing my little guy feeling crummy! :(

my boo is sick........ again!

actually we're all sick! lorin has had a cough for almost a month i got the cough last week and finally went to the dr today to see what's up with me. turns out i have bronchitis (sorry everyone that we exposed)... sending lorin to the dr tomorrow AM to get on antibiotics like me. milo woke up this morning seemingly fine kinda whining but when i took his jammies off to get him dress he seemed really warm. i figured it was just because i had the heater cranking....... turned the heater down but still lorin and i thought he started to act kind sick.... took his temp 101.9!!!!! shoot! took it again after 30 minutes 102.5!!!!! darn!!!! tylenol and popsicles here we come! he said to me, "mommy can we go downstairs and watch monsters inc and eat popsicles and will you sit right next to me?" of course! so we watched a movie and snugged! i took him to the dr with me so could get checked and he kept saying, "it's not my turn, it's not my turn."...... as in...... this dr is not touching me!!!!! so i should be better by tomorrow, lorin should be better by wednesday & if milo's fever doesn't go away it will be his turn at the dr in the next day or two.

why did i want to share all of this? because i've been kinda keeping track here of these darn bugs that like to travel through our house!

thankfully i'm able to make my own schedule! who knew how important that would be! i feel very blessed that i'm able to drop my 'work plans' so frequently to be here for my little guy. glad i'm figuring out how to spend less time in my actual office too!

lot's of fun with pop & glamma!

milo has been doing lots of sleep overs at pop & glamma's house. he gets really excited when he knows glamma is coming to pick him up. the minute she pulls into our driveway he's ready to jump in the car. he has a whole list of things he wants to ask her about...... like the pretend rattle snake in the tv den, did pop charge the motorcycle & truck & are we going to play hide and seek???

last week's adventure included a visit with auntie tara. then glamma took him to the irvine regional park, where he saw lots of animals, rode a horse, took a train ride & munched a ice cream sandwich. next they were back at pop & glam's and they did a little jacuzzi'ing and then the finale was watching Toy Story!!!! he cozied up in his buzz lightyear jammies and watched his favorite character..... buzz lightyear.

meanwhile...... i got tons of stuff done around the house and went in to the office for a bit. then lorin and i went on a fun and yummy shabu shabu date. we also got to sleep in on saturday morning until 8:45!!!!!!! delicious!

*found a caterpillar upstairs and turned into a little pet. it lived on a paper plate with some grape nuts and a banana slice. milo named it SNAKE. it actually chowed down on the banana.

*while he was sitting in my lap giving me snuggles at breakfast i started to try and feed him his cereal..... he looked up at me and said, "i'm not a baby anymore"....... while shaking his head ever so gently. :(

*potting in the toilet and counting what comes out........ gross i know....... but cute too!

*putting his SKELETON pj's on and he calls them SPELAKEN pj's.

* after i went out with my girlfriends last night he comes up to me in the morning and says, "you went with your girls last night," i said, "yep," he says, "i wanted to go too!"

* had a real conversation with lorin on the phone. they talked for a loooong time. so cute to listen in on them. love that lorin was at work but still gave him all the time in the world to ask the same question several times.

*today while playing outside with his friends i was having to keep reminding him to wear his helmet when he was riding his bike. he insisted that he wanted to WEAR HIS HAIR..... not his helmet.

* also playing with a friend today milo said, "my mommy has a baby in her belly!!!!!!!!!!" totally out of the blue SO darn cute!!!!!

lorin & milo went with moppa up to LA to visit bubby. they discovered a really cool little petting zoo down the street from bub's house.

snow day!

turned out to be the perfect day. i was a little concerned that we were not going to be able to find snow so easily....... or that it would be a little dangerous. turns out the snow was super easy to get to and the day could not have been more beautiful. after all the work i did gathering snow gear for all of us..... it was TOO HOT! ha ha! except for milo's little hands from making snow balls. they kept getting too cold but he hated his mittens, it was quite the predicament. we found a nice little sledding area and a good spot to build a snow man. lots of fun was had. we all lasted about and 1 1/2 hours... but it was well worth the trip.

on our way back to shawn & renee's we stopped and the boys filled up the back of the truck with snow. we brought in back to their house and dumped it in the driveway. the kids had a little more fun with snow. then we bbq'd and went home and crashed.
