my little Gnome..........

it brought me so much joy to make this costume for my little gnome. just a simple picture in our garden was enough for me and then it would have been fine for him to wear the spiderman costume we bought him. but NOOOOO we go to the city of tustins halloween HOWL and he wins 1st place in his age group (i think at least 70 other little ones maybe more..... it was crazy.... too much). it was so funny when they said, "and 1st place goes to MEEELOW." so MEELOW the Gnome won 2 tickets to disneyland, movie tickets, yogurtland passes & a halloween basket full of goodies!

i'm gonna share some sweet moments. his language is so good that i've lost track of so many of the amazing things he says. here are just a few show stopping moments from the last week.

***milo picks up lorin's cell phone and says, "hello.....i'm 2." so funny.

***we met someone new last week and i went to tell them that milo was 2, and they said that he already told them he was 2! he's all about the facts!

***the other day milo was over at his friend guy & rg's house. he was sitting on the stairs with guy & his mommy and eating a popsicle when he looked over at guy & mishelle sitting right next to him and pointed at them and said, "these are my friends."

***when we were playing the other night milo, i was sitting on the ground and milo knocked me over. he gave me his hand to help me up. i said, "thank you" & he said, "YOU'RE WELCOME MOMMY"!!!! so sweet!

***while putting him to bed i said, "it's time to go to sleep" he said, "i don't want to go to sleep, i want to WAKE UP"...........

***while they were playing his little buddy guy said, "milo..... i love you" milo said, "THANK YOU!"

*** as i'm typing he is behind me singing the hokey pokey! ha ha!

garage sale'n!

we went to the annual garage sale in pop & glamma's neighborhood. it was so fun cruising the streets w/ glamma looking for treasures. we stopped to see pop at the end of his golf game. & we found this cute little ikea table for $5 bucks! can't beat that! love recycled kid stuff!

surf contest

a major highlight of our weekend was lo in this surf contest! he has not done a contest since i've known him (10 years). so we were pretty excited and surprised when he took 1st in his first heat on Saturday. That meant he went on to compete in Sundays semi-finals & finals. So after my race on Sunday morning I hightailed it back to the beach to watch him in the semi-finals and onto the finals. where he placed 5th overall in the masters division. one thing i can say after watching all the different divisions is mother nature is totally in charge when it comes to winning your heat. yeah.. you've got to have the skills to pull it off too, but if you don't get good waves then it's pretty rough! second thing i have to say.......... the ELEMENTARY division is the cutest thing i've ever seen!
