his HAIR!

so a few weeks ago i gave milo a bad bang trim. i was trying to take just a tiny bit off the ends...... but...... i cut too much and too crooked. lorin was not pleased with my "art". i know you may be thinking i should just take the poor child for a real haircut but we love that his hair is just free and does what it wants. lol! it makes us smile.

this is the morning after the cut, after daddy told him i messed his hair up.

this is how he wakes up in the morning. it's so cute when i go get him from his crib and he's standing up with his hair all crazy and he's smiling....... awwwww..... melt my heart!

a baby shower and a horse.....

milo got to meet a horse at our friends baby shower. he was so excited and was even doing his little horse sound.



he was brave and reached out and touched the horse on it's nose.


he rode on a tire swing pony and loved it!



& of course had a blast in the bounce house with a slide!

now we're just waiting on the news for our friends baby to arrive....... "it's a BOY"...... of course....... right?

train rides!

we had so much fun doing the train rides with auntie tia, ada and calvin! milo has named auntie christina "tia" it's so cute how he says and it i think it's gonna stick! we even waited in line again and went with julian...... but the second time around was not as much fun cause milo kept trying to jump ship! ha ha!

we took a walk on a drizzly day and this is what happened.






when we got home i caught milo peacefully munching on bling blings dog food like it was a bowl of gold fish crackers. i had to take a picture....... and then i took the bowl away.

bling received this little squirrel for vday from aunt tely. when we gave her the package with the little squirrel inside, she tore through it to get the squirrel out. she played with that squirrel all night like she was a little puppy again. it was a blast to watch her frolic around the house carrying her new little friend.

the next day when we got home i walked into our bedroom and saw this beautiful beam of sunlight shining on the poor dead squirrel. in true bling fashion..... she extracted the squeaker and then pull the stuffing out. it lay on our bed in the most beautiful beam of sunset light.

lorin made an awesome workbench for our garage. i'm pretty impressed........ he's pretty impressed and i think it has somehow completed his "manhood" having a workbench. where he can........ um....... work on "stuff."

our trip to visit our family in la la land! we had so much fun visiting with everyone. we all gathered at scottie and victoria's house for lunch and to just hang out. milo loves to see his bubby! scottie pulled out a great big box of old photos and we all enjoyed going through them. it was really cool to watch bubby go through all the old photos..... it was a long trip down memory lane.

milo helped scottie and victoria see what kinda of baby proofing they're gonna be needing in a few months. he was into everything.. as usual! i loved seeing victoria's little belly! she's just started to pop and we're SOOOOO excited they're having a BOY!!!!! one thing that was really funny is a chalk board in their kitchen with possible baby names...... there's some of the funniest names you've ever seen on the board..... homer, hannibel and all sorts of super hilarious combinations! the board is jammed full! i can't wait to see what they really name their little one.

11. saturday playing with nana for her bday :)
12. ............ do you get the picture? this is the life and times of an 18 month old!!!! love it!

train rides every 3rd weekend of the month & it's free!  since milo has been playing at his friend logan's house & cousin calvin's house that both have awesome trains..... he's been super into choo choo's.  in fact...... when i ask him if he's ready to go play with logan he says, "choo choo."  so anyways it looks like trains are one of his new things..... that and furf (surf.... but we'll get to that later).  the train ride was lots of fun.  he sat SO still and was in a trance as we watched the scenery whiz by and had the breeze blowing in our faces.
