when lo's friend jimmy came to pick him up to surf in this truck, milo pretty much freaked the big one. he cried as they drove away. jimmy promised to give milo a ride when they got back from surfing. milo got his ride and his buddies jumped in as well! it was so cool to watch them circle the hood with massive smiles to match this massive truck!

things may be back to normal this week. we're healthy! yay! i'm actually looking forward to going back to the office and getting some work done. & i know milo is ready to play with his buddies again.

oh please let this be the last day of this yucky bug that has been here since last week! milo and i have both been sick. i finally got over it yesterday but poor milo is still working on getting over it. if he has a fever again today i will bring him back to the DR. we've had tons of snuggle love cuddle time and i've enjoyed it....... but i'm ready for my healthy wild man to be back. pray for him ok!? xoxo

today was a good day!

BIG BOY BED!

the time has come to say farewell......... to the crib! I always loved that milo's crib was a hand-me-down from julian & amelia! not only was it in perfect condition but i'm just sentimental that way. well as it turns out.... julian & amelia have a little sister on the way who could be here any day now, so it was time to send the crib to it's next little tenant & milo has been ready to be out of the crib for a few weeks now.

mike & the kids came over to pick up the crib & they brought milo his "big boy bed." i was already emotional saying good bye to the crib but when i saw the adorable little toddler bed & the little M.I.L.O letters mike had attached to the headboard....... i pretty much cried. it was just so incredibly thoughtful. the lump in my throat did not stay long because milo was jumping around screaming, "MY NEW BED, YAY! MY NEW BED!" milo had a great time playing with julian & amelia as lorin & mike worked in the oven........ i mean upstairs taking apart the crib & moving in the BIG BOY BED.

he was SO excited to go to bed last night! he's still up with the sun...... but he's just a morning bird like his mommy!

uh oh............... today was a ruff day for no reason really. just couldn't pull it together. & i feel the need to share this with you...... why? i don't know. we were supposed to go to music class. didn't make it. tried to go to pretend city..... 96 degrees and an hour wait. FORGET IT! skipped out on work (couldn't bear the thought of being there in this sweltering heat). played with some friends at the spectrum. met lorin for lunch. hung out with chirstina & the kids while milo napped for a bit. & now we're home milo is finishing his nap and i'm whining to all of you. ahhhhhh what's wrong with me.

could it be that bling bling kept me up a lot last night with her huffing and puffing at the neighbors dog. the weather is so flipping hot. milo is being SUPER impossible & challenging EVERYTHING! he's up before the sun. doesn't seem to mind sitting on his time out step A LOT! every time i clean things get messy again. what's wrong with me? funky-ness please go away.

............ ok. i feel better after uploading those cute beach pics. i guess today was just one of those days where i felt like BLAH! i hear someone stirring from their nap. hope the 2nd half of the day has a lot less time outs in it.

BTW----- i love when you make a comment or send me and email. it let's me know you're checking in on us. i promise to not do another whining post for a long long time!

happy 4 year anniversary to US!

like every other milestone in our life....... i can't believe it's been 4 years since our wedding day! i wish we could go back to that magical day and live it all over again. the preparation the anticipation & most of all the CELEBRATION of our love. i'd love to see all of our beautiful family & friends smiling as we said, "i do." i'd say I DO again.

his trip to mexico. lor was gone for 8 days surfing in "man country." we missed him & he missed us but he sure had a good time. he took some really amazing photos. my favorite are his pictures of the sunrise which he saw every morning as they ate breakfast and loaded onto the surf boat. he surfed every day for about 4-5 hours. the water temp was 85! he came home with a nice tan, a full belly & super tore up knees from all the surfing with no wet-suit.

we are glad you're home!

milo & i played a ton with his cousins. then i had a big long day with anya. we hiked a crazy 5 miles in laguna, rented a super fun lounge chair boat and hung out on the water had a yummy hot pot dinner & ended it all with a reflexology massage!
