the hollydaze

took me a little while to get to this. we just did so much it was hard to edit through all the pics. here are some of my favorites. starting with our annual balboa light walk with the the de melos and the chapmans. it was fun besides milo wanting to walk on every single dock and my last go with morning sickness.

then it was christmas eve at nana & papa's house. little people everywhere....... noise level ear piercing lots of yummy food and a visit from santa himself! milo was fascinated and hung onto santa's every move. standing right in front of him and even letting santa know that he's 2!!! a little toy harley davidson was a HUGE HIT among all the little boys.

next it was christmas morning in our home. milo somehow ended up in our bed in the early early morning and it was so nice waking up to the whole family sleeping in bed....... i definitely had a moment where it felt like all was right in the world. then we moved down stairs where we opened gifts. milo caught on to the craziness of christmas morning! his human nature came out and wondered where more gifts were when he was done opening. little did he know there was so much more in store for him for the day at pop & glamma's and at tely & joes.

off we went to pop & glamma's for a big christmas breakfast. milo was very happy to be with his family and especially enjoys to hang with his cousins. they were excited to open gifts and run wild through pop & glamma's house. i think there favorite part of the morning was when we pulled the little jeep and motorcycle out and they all rode around and around the cul-de-sac. such a beautiful california morning. i couldn't help but think that this was our 1st christmas morning without grandma jo. i thought about her a lot as i hung all the cute little
ornaments she made me on my tree.

next if was off to tely & joes tree house for christmas dinner. curious milo instantly noticed the giant blanket covering something up next to the christmas tree there. it wasn't long before he pulled it off and found a life size lighting mcQueen race car. he couldn't wait to drive it. so off we went to the hilly gravely street so he could try and run us all over. pure joy!!! we had a lovely evening that ended in christmas pj's. lots of love and fun celebrating.

of course we were going to be thrilled either way......... but we are giddy excited to find out we're having a Girl! i know...... i know it seems impatient....... but seriously the surprise was just as awesome today as it would be in 2 months or at delivery of our little lady. now i can do some more productive day dreaming. it also explains why i'm convinced i was SOOOO much sicker this time around in the beginning. it makes sense why my little miss sunshine really threw me for a loop and is possibly going to suck the life right out me with all of her demands...., "i want donuts"...... "i want ice cream." actually since i had already prepared myself for another wild boy, i'm in a little bit of shock. when the U/S tech was looking around at her she asked us, "do you want me to tell you what i see?", we said yes of course....... ,"i see a little girl." really? really? REALLY!!!!! i knew it! but after being convinced that milo was a girl i didn't listen to my so called 'intuition.'
lorin & i feel so blessed and complete!

Christmas 2009

Where do I start? We took 400 photos! Had tons of fun with all of our family..... while I gather up pictures from the holiday I just thought I would say we are so blessed beyond belief by our family. To make it all the more wonderful those blessings spill over 10 fold to Mr. Milo.... he is loved to the moon and back by all of his Grandparents and is adored by his aunts and uncles & completely stoked to be with his cousins. He's such a perfect member of our family (even when he's totally challenging) it's obvious that God picked him especially for us.
our family of 3

is there anything better than this? I mean........ really???? is there?

**more pics coming soonish!

early morning at the mall

we hit the mall at the perfect time to enjoy all the holiday activities without all the mad holiday shoppers. glamma held a place in line to see santa and then we went on the carousel, had a yummy croissant, watched carolers, rode a train & did a craft......... again all before the madness began.
another visit with santa!
