Baby Milo's Birthday!!!

after a long long day on saturday trying to induce labor milo was delivered via c-section. we are all wonderful and our family feels so complete! these last 9 months i kept a clear vision of my labor and delivery and that vision was just me going with the flow and no matter how milo decided to join us as long as he was happy and healthy i would be content and in love. he is 100% perfect and his little sweet personality already shows through. he looks a lot like his daddy and a lot like a baby elf so i'm very pleased! all the nurses and the doctors at the hospital even said how beautiful he is and strong. these last few days have been like a dream for lorin and i ....... we can't believe he's actually here and how natural it feels to be his mommy and daddy. we feel so blessed to have such amazing family and friends..... milo is already off to a good start in that department! milo's arrival is such a miracle and a blessing and lorin and i are convinced that heaven opened up and dropped this little angel out. (i'm one of those moms......lol)

this blog is going to be a very very busy place because i can't stop taking pictures of milo and i love to share!!!!! so save our address to your favorites and check back often! :)

it's baby time!

lorin and i went to the hospital today to have my fluids checked..... the fluid is low and so the doctors have decided to induce me tonight at midnight. we were able to spend the day at home together resting and relaxing. please keep us in your prayers as we bring this little guy into the world.

bling bling's first year. lorin and i spent a good hour going through our computer photo library looking at all the cute picture of bling. we took sooooo many! i had to put this little slide show together of her first year and i'll be adding more. yes we're obsessed with her! i can't wait to start taking pictures of milo.

6-38 weeks

10 year REUNION!!!!

i'm happy to say i made it to my 10 year high school reunion...... and had a fabulous time. all the girls gathered at my house and off we went to see where 10 years took everybody. WOW! we were all a little unsure if we even wanted to subject ourselves to the torture of small talk with a bunch of people we had forgotten about. actually we had blast....... everyone was super friendly and eager to "reunite". we danced the night away and laughed a ton. it's crazy to think how fast the last 10 years went by and for me to be right on the brink of one of the biggest moments of my life(mommyhood). i'm so lucky to have such an amazing group of girlfriends from high school that i have been able to watch grow into beautiful women....... and it didn't take a high school reunion to keep in touch........ we've just always done that! lucky lucky lucky! this 10 year mile stone is a reminder of where i've been, who i am and where i'm going.......GO COUGARS!!!! lol!!!!! :)

the news is.......... NO NEWS!!! baby looks good and the fluid is up again..... yay! :)

6 day countdown..... will he be early or late?

we're still hangin in there. milo seems very comfy cozy. i've been going to the hospital every few days for testing and i'm not really sure what the doctors plans are. i'm supposed to be drinking lots of water (and i am) and resting on my left side. the best part of all this testing is that the fetal diagnostics office over looks the harbor where lorin and i got married. so when they hook me up to the monitor i just get to sit back and listen to our babies heartbeat and look out over where i married my best friend.... the best day of my life. it's saturday morning and lorin and i are off for more testing..... i'll let you know how it goes.

best day ever............

10 days until Milo's due date! can you tell we're waiting?



we had a very full weekend trying to finish up some last little things before milo comes. friday dad and judy came over and helped us switch out all our old light switches and outlets for nice new white ones.........it looks so good...... really makes a huge difference. then that night we went to the OC fair with them and saw Willie Nelson in concert........ good times! saturday i spent with my mom getting our nails done and picking up the last of what was needed for baby milo....... receiving blankets. i spent a lot of time just floating around our pool...... because it feels good to be weightless. sunday was a fun day at the dog beach for lorin, bling and i. i keep wondering if each little thing we do will be the last time we do it without milo? the cute picture above is lorin napping after the beach. one really funny thing about this weekend was that each of milo's grandma's glama, nana and moppa....... all went through his clothing drawers ooohing and ahhhing at all his little tiny stuff. moppa finished off the weekend with one great big cuddly octopus chair for milo's room............. and now........we're ready!!!!!!

Milo's 2 week countdown!

here are some cute squish face photos of our little guy. we went today for an ultrasound to get an estimated fetal weight. milo is estimated to be 6lbs and 9ozs....... which apparently does not mean much...... because it's just an estimate! it was fun to see him and he looks totally out of room and ready to come out. he is in a really good position too! lorin says he feels kinda sorry for me because milo's head looks big. lol! i think he looks so much like me in these ultrasounds. what do you think?

we were told from the u/s today that my amniotic fluid was low and i needed to go to the hospital for further testing. well the testing showed that milo's little world is just fine and his heart rate is responding well to my contractions (now i know that i have been having contractions). my last few DR visits have been uneventful..... so no progress...... but hopefully the next visit will be a different story. after spending time with the nurses at Hoag Hospital today (by the way the nurses are awesome) i have some very good insight on my DR...... apparently it doesn't matter what time of day or night i go into labor....... my DR always has on matching shoes and purse (gucci or coach) lol! i feel better knowing that for some reason! they called her the fashionista doctor! love that!

Weekly Doctor Visits!

It's getting down to the wire. Today I started my weekly Doctor visits. The Dr. says Milo is head down (yay) but there's always a chance he could flip head up. Everything looks good and I'm supposed to call her if my water breaks or I start having regular contractions.......OK! Will do!

BABY SHOWER.......

Best baby shower EVER!!! Milo is so darn lucky and I am too. Everything was so perfect and I can hardly believe that I've gone through a baby shower.... which means there's only one thing left to do...... have our baby....... oh yeah.... and sort through all the super cute stuff that Milo got. I can't wait to start washing all his little clothes and put the finishing touches on his nursery. We're ready!

Milo makes Bubby into a "Great Bubby"...... this is the 1st grandbaby on his side.

Back to work this week! I can't believe our little guy is due in 6 weeks. Lorin and I both feel ready for him and anxious about his arrival. I had my Doctors appt on Monday and she says I'm totally average....... I'm not measuring big or small but right on target and Milo's due date is still July 27th. It's all good!

HOLA!!!!!!!



ahhhhhhh MEXICO! We had a wonderful vacation. We relaxed and ate and it was pretty much amazing! I could get used to hanging out in my swim suit all day doing nothing. It was fun to share with everyone all of the kicking and growing baby Milo is doing. This is .....of course...... our last trip before Milo is here and we can't wait for our next time in Mexico when Milo can play in the pool with all of his cousins!
