i took my one hour Glucose Test for Gestational Diabetes! i'm pretty sure my body loves sugar but we'll see!

our little guy is growing so much! i heart him!

my girlfriend gabby just had her little bundle of joy last weekend! he is so cute and sweet....... and super duper teeny tiny! oh i love him so much! the birth of baby julian has made milo's upcoming delivery all the more real. so i lost my prenatal yoga partner.......... but for a good reason! :) yay!

my girlfriend who owns an accessories line just sold me some of her super cute sea horse fabric to recover milo's glider in!!!! yay! i love her ocean inspired textile designs!

what's going on?

here i am! my shadow really shocked me yesterday!





ahhhhh the view from my doctors window. i love california! (incase you can't tell that's the ocean out there)
another good doctors appt. she said things are normal and babies heartbeat sounds good. he was kicking when i was there and moving all around.



this is a very long story but after spending all day in los angeles again. i asked lorin to stop by the office to pick up bling bling because i was going to be a little later getting back. when lorin got to the office he found it full of SMOKE and poor bling bling was hiding under a clothing rack scared out of her little tiny mind!!!!!



after searching for fire and not finding anything lorin called 911! 8 fire trucks and a fleet of firemen later...... a fire source was found in my neighbors office. they broke down the door and found a machine that heats minerals off of stuff (i don't really know what it is) but it was left on and the water that it uses to cook had burned away and now it was cooking itself and was going to be a major fire!!!! the firemen said lorin really saved the day. they said that if bling would have been in the office for one more hour she would have died form the smoke inhalation in her tiny lungs. thank GOD things worked out the way they did. lorin saved bling bling and our office...... my hero!




lorin is working on a song for our son. brings a little tear to my eye.



and spring is here....... a peach blossom on our little peach tree that we've had since our cute house in Newport.


in the center of this photo you will see a squirrel. his name is chubby squirrel and he lives in our neighborhood. we have had a few visits from him........ but none as exciting as the one in this palm tree outside our bedroom window.


lorin has been doing construction on the house. after being gone in los angeles all day this is what greeted me when i got home. i will post the before and after pictures of his project soon..... he did such a good job!

Well it's official...... a lady at the Santa Ana Chamber of Commerce that I only see once every few months said, "OH MY GOSH YOU"RE PREGNANT". She's the first stranger that was confident enough that I actually am with child and not just eating burritos and cheesecake 24/7. So debuting today (on Dad & Judy's 24th anniversary) Mr. Baby Ely is obvious to the outside world..... that's so CUTE!

everything is going really good here. Baby Ely is kicking away and entertaining us. At night we love to lay down and watch him do the polka dance in my belly. I'm feeling really good...... so I guess all that talk about the 2nd trimester is TRUE.

Finally some quality time with Mr. Baby Riley! He is one cute itty bitty baby.... he's just like holding a feather and you can tell he was sent straight from heaven!

This is the picture we took before going in to find out if Baby Ely is a Boy or a Girl....... as we all know IT'S A BOY!!! a huge day for us..... i didn't get any work done all day long because I was day dreaming about our little boy! Lorin felt the baby move for the first time this weekend..... a little poke poke poke "hi daddy"

Lorin and I are so happy to share with you all that we're having a BOY!!! We went to the Doctor today for the anatomy scan which measures the babies heart, brain, bones and over all development including some unmistakable boy parts! :) It is so nice to finally know what the baby is.... it makes it so much more real. He looks like his daddy from the profile and his mommy straight on. We were of course relieved that he is measuring perfect... so he's a healthy little guy..... and of course his boyish good looks are just the icing on the cake!

It's been awhile since I've posted...... mainly because I have been so busy with work and just focusing on this Big Post about my boy! Last week my brother and his wife gave birth to their second son. He was about 3 weeks early and totally healthy and adorable. Finding out that we're having a boy is even more exciting because he's going to have a cousin about the same age...... Riley and Baby Ely are going to be little buddies!

boy or girl?

I went to the DR yesterday and heard little baby elys heartbeat. Everything looks good and I'm officially in the 2nd trimester. In exactly 1 month we will find out if we are having a boy or a girl. Can't wait for February 28th!!! Of course with my new Hello Kitty waffle maker....... I think a girl would be nice.......... but we love boys too! (can boys eat Hello Kitty shaped waffles?)

Nicole did an Italian cook-off! Not only did she make dinner.... she made a whole bunch of frozen dinners for us too! (I HELPED) Making food in advance will come in handy when baby comes!

Looking at our "baby" blog I knew there was something missing! Bling Bling! Our 1st baby! Thinking about how much we love our little blingers and how much joy she brings us... makes me wonder how much more we will love our human baby! Don't get me wrong Bling is basically human (to us) the problem is that the rest of the world has not caught on to that yet. I can't believe she's going to be 3 years old this April. These are just a few of the billion pictures we have of her and I could sit here and look through them all day. Call me crazy..... that's OK!

YOGA MAMAS

Thank you Tely and Moppa (merrily) for my Prenatal Yoga Classes! Tonight was my first night doing Prenatal Yoga and I really loved it. It was really cool to be in a room with about 25 other pregnant women and it was soooooo relaxing. I felt like I was doing something really good for me. Yoga is a really nice workout but I really find the huge benefits in the peaceful quiet mind it gives me. This is something that I am going to keep doing up until baby comes and after baby is here. Hopefully! Of course it made it more fun cause Gabby was there! :) This should help maintain some sanity as we are getting really busy and crazy at mixie!
